“Based On A True Story” by Delphine de Vigan (post 4): Can you explain why reviews of this book do not question naming a character with a single letter?
I have read more than ten reviews of this book. Not one wondered why the character “L” was named that way. Not one mentioned that the author’s pseudonym for her first novel begins with that letter. Some wondered if L might be an “alter ego,” but none recognized that the ending of the novel is a classic multiple-personality scenario.
If you can explain such reviews, please do.
