“The President is Missing” (post 1) by Bill Clinton (post 3) and James Patterson (post 6): President Duncan and Unnamed Assassin are introduced
In the first 27 pages of this 513 page novel, two major characters are introduced: President Duncan and an unnamed assassin, referred to as “Bach” (her favorite composer), who wears disguises and alters her appearance.
“…it’s been a long time since she’s ‘felt like herself ’ ” and “the longer she stays in this line of work and the more times she reinvents herself—replacing one facade with another, sometimes lingering in the shadow, sometimes hiding in plain sight—the less she remembers her true self or even the concept of having her own identity” (1, p. 26).
Is this a job requirement or multiple personality? I will continue reading.
