Increased Reading of Past Posts

Day to day, for the past six years, the ten most-read posts have usually been the last ten posts. But, recently, the most-read posts have been past posts.

That makes sense, since the odds are very small that the latest posts will be more interesting than all 1,700 previous posts; especially if, using the name and subject indices, you select the past posts yourself.
